2025 LHBS Societal Impact Award

The International Society of Marketing (ISM), in partnership with the Leon Hess Business School (LHBS) of Monmouth University, is pleased to announce the 4th Annual LHBS Societal Impact Award.

This award recognizes and honors outstanding research and case studies that demonstrate excellence in societal impact—how mission and strategy guide actions that positively influence society at local, regional, national, or international levels (AACSB Business Accreditation Standards, 2020).

The award will be presented during the ISM Teaching and Learning Conference in Kansas City, MO, October 8–10, 2025.

Evaluation & Awards

  • All submissions will undergo a double-blind review process by the LHBS Societal Impact Award Committee and external reviewers.
  • Three (3) finalists will be selected to present their work (15–20 minutes) at a dedicated award session during the conference.
  • The winner will be chosen at the session by a judging panel and will receive:
    • A plaque and $500 monetary prize from LHBS
    • Conference registration and a 2-night hotel stay for the ISM 2026 Spring Conference in Chicago
    • Recognition at the ISM Teaching and Learning Conference brunch

Submission Guidelines

  1. Maximum five (5) double-spaced pages, Times New Roman 12 pt (including references, tables, and figures).
    • Use Journal of Marketing reference style
    • Only .doc or .docx files accepted
  2. Include a title page with authors’ names, affiliations, addresses, and emails (indicate corresponding author).
  3. Manuscript should begin with the title, followed by a 100-word abstract (single-spaced).
  4. Do not include author identifiers within the body of the paper or abstract.
  5. Submissions must represent original research or case studies aligned with AACSB’s societal impact standards.
  6. Only faculty or faculty–student coauthored papers are eligible.
  7. Authors may choose to publish abstracts or full papers in the Conference Proceedings.
  8. Submission indicates intent for at least one author to register and attend the conference if selected as a finalist.
